Seed Treatment
All Omega-3 Canola Production System seed products are treated with a proven insecticide/fungicide combination to protect your seed investment against early season disease and insects. Nuseed Omega-3 hybrids also come standard with BUTEO® start for added protection against flea beetles.
Glufosinate Tolerant
Crops such as canola which are characterized as glufosinate tolerant, have been genetically modified to be tolerant to glufosinate ammonium, which is the active ingredient of the herbicides such as Liberty®. The modification permits farmers to use this broad-spectrum herbicide for weed control during the growing season of canola without damaging the crop. With a differing mode of action than glyphosate, glufosinate is an excellent rotation tool to minimize herbicide resistant weed populations.
