Nuseed hosted its Sunflower U Training Camp this week.
We would like to thank all of the Legend Seeds staff, dealers and growers that participated and the speakers that presented to make this an informative and successful event for everyone involved!
The afternoon of Wednesday, August 28th we had a full line up of industry speakers and consultant at the Legend Seeds warehouse(Wahpeton, ND) that covered a variety of topics relevant to sunflowers such as herbicide solutions, disease identification, insects, desiccation and much more. We then finished the day off with a group supper and axe throwing competition at the Bagg Bonanza Farm near Mooreton, ND that evening.
The group then met up at the Nuseed Sunflower Nursery near Rothsay, MN the next morning to learn more about sunflowers from Nuseed’s R&D team, agronomist and rep from Syngenta. We then finished off the the event with a group lunch at Big J’s Smokehouse in Rothsay before everyone went their separate ways.
