We’ve focused on crops with excellent agronomic and end-use genetic potential — canola, carinata, sorghum, and sunflowers. 

Nuseed R&D and commercial teams are working globally to unlock the potential and deliver plant-based solutions for both our farm customers and our end-use customers. We develop input traits for top agronomic performance and output plant traits with consumer benefits.  Across Australia, Europe, North America, and South America our Nuseed teams are delivering top seed, service and new opportunities, our foundation to delivering value beyond yield.

Our focus is already paying off.

We’ve built a successful global commercial seeds business with world-class germplasm and R&D programs and advanced molecular capabilities at our two industry-leading Nuseed Innovation Centers.  We’ve also developed new end-use products and market opportunities, as well as the Nuseed Value Chains to supply them.

In 2019-2020 alone Nuseed will have commercialized two proprietary crops for very specific and value-added end-use markets:

  • Carinata for renewable fuel with RSB certified best in class greenhouse gas reduction, grown in Argentina
  • Nuseed Omega-3 Canola, the first land-based source of the essential omega-3 nutrient, grown in the U.S.

We anticipate commercial expansion into our other regions to meet the rapidly increasing demand, as we earn regulatory approvals for these proprietary crops.

Nuseed has grown rapidly since its start in Australia in 2006. 

There are now over 250 employees working across our global locations. This includes two world-class Nuseed Innovation Centers – our first in Horsham, Australia and our brand new center in West Sacramento, California. Our excellent product portfolios and commitment to customer service have earned Nuseed sales in over 30 countries.

Our focused approach allows us to maximize Nuseed’s rich bank of global germplasm, local connections to growers and industry partners, and our global reach to new end-use customers.
