The first Nuseed Carinata hybrids showcased strong agronomic performance in 2021 commercial demonstration plots in Uruguay, Argentina and the Southeastern United States.

Nuseed Carinata is a sustainably scalable, non-food oilseed cover crop, grown between main crops on existing farmland, crushed to produce one of the lowest low-carbon fuel feedstocks available, carinata oil. It offers a new solution to energy sector leaders and policy makers seeking biofuel feedstocks that are grown under sustainable farming practices, independently certified to deliver maximum greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, and globally scalable.
The new hybrid portfolio is named Nujet to reflect the hybrids’ ability to produce increased volumes of drop-in oil for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). A co-product of crushing Nuseed Carinata to extract the non-food oil is a high protein, non-GMO meal for feed.
